- Toor dal - 1 cup
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Onion - 1
- Coriander leaves - 2
- Oil - 2 tsp
- Green chilly - 4
- Redchilly - 2
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Garlic flakes - 5
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Water - 1/2 cup

Instructions
- Wash and clean toordal.
- Cook toor dal for 5 minutes in a cooker,ie 3 whistles.After that put off stove.
- When steam gone we can open the cooker and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a kadai add mustards.When mustards splutters add cumin seeds and red chilli saute for 2 minutes.
- Add green chillies,saute for a minute.
- Add coriander powder,chilli powder saute for a minute.
- Add garlic flakes and turmeric powder and saute for 2 minutes.
- Now dal tadka is ready to serve.
