Ingredients
- kolli karuvadu 1 cup -
- Small onion 1 cup -
- Tomato 2 -
- chopped brinjal 1 cup -
- garlic 6 pieces -
- chopped coconut 1 cup -
- coconut paste 1 big cup -
- tamarind water 1 big cup -
- oil 5 tsp -
- Mustard : 1 tsp -
- cumin seed 1 tsp -
- fenugreek seed 1 tsp -
- Red chilli : 2 -
- Curry leaves 1 bunch -
- Salt to taste -
- Turmeric Powder: 1 tsp -
- sambar powder 2 to 3 tsp -

Instructions
- heat the oil and temper the mustard, cumin seed and fenugreek seed
- now temper the red chilli and curry leaves
- add tomato and fry for 5 mins
- add salt, turmeric powder and sambar powder and mix well
- add chopped coconut and mix it
- add onion paste and mix well and allow to boil for 2 mins
- add chopped brinjal and allow to boil
- mean while clean and fry the dry fish in a pan for 2 mins
- add dry fish in the gravy and mix well and allow to boil for 2 mins
- now dry fish gravy is ready. serve with rice, idly and dosa
