  • 3 nos Potatoes
  • 300 ml Oil
  • 1 cup Chickpea flour Kadala mavu
  • 1 tbsp Rice flour
  • 1 tbsp Corn flour
  • 1 tsp All purpose flour Maida
  • 1 tsp Chilly powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1/2 tsp Asafoetida powder Kayam
  • 1/2 tsp Soda bicarb

For stuffing:


  • For preparing stuffed potato fry, mix all the ingredients for stuffing and keep aside.
  • Cut the potato in thick halves.
  • Make the batter of dosa batter consistency by mixing the flours, chilly powder, salt, asafoetida and soda bicarb.
  • Heat oil in a kadai. Dip each potato slice in the batter and fry till cooked.
  • Slit the potato halves and stuff the filling material.
  • Stuffed potato fry. Serve hot.
