Ingredients
  

  • 50 g Plain cake
  • 1/2 litre Milk
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 pkt Jelly crystals
  • 4 tbsp Custard powder
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Almond/Cherries to decorate
  • Boiling water As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing trifles, prepare the custard using milk, sugar and custard powder. Allow it cool.
  • Dissolve 1 packet of jelly in 450 ml of boiling water.
  • Break the plain cake into small pieces and set in the jelly.
  • When the jelly is set, pour the cool custard on the top.
  • Make the topping of the trifle with the whipped cream.
  • Garnish it with almond and cherries.
  • Trifles are ready. Serve chilled.
