- Raw Rice - 1 cup
- Green gram dhal(Cheruparippu) - ½ cup
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Chana dal - 1 tsp
- Ghee - 4 tbsp
- Pepper - 2 tsp
- Cumin powder - 2 tsp
- Red chilly - 1 no
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Coconut oil - 2 tsp
- Cashew nuts - 4 nos
- Dry Grapes - 4 nos

Instructions
- Fry mustard seeds and chana dhal in coconut oil.
- Add red chilly and fry for some more time.
- Add 3rd step to the 1st step.
- Add curry leaves. Pour this to boiled rice.
- Fry pepper and cumin powder in ghee and add to the 1st step.
- Fry cashew nut and dry grapes in ghee and add to the mixture.
- Add salt and mix well.
- Venpongal v Brahmin special, a traditional recipe is ready.
