Wheat Idiyappam

Wheat idiyappam is a Kerala's traditional breakfast normally made with whole wheat flour and water and pressed into thin noodles with sev maker and steamed. This is a healthy breakfast recipe and a different variation in string hoppers. The wheat flour is fried with rice flour to prepare this string hoppers. This can be served with coconut milk or any other choice of your own.

  • fry wheat flour in kadai
  • to this add rice flour and fry 2 mins.
  • pour boiling water with salt in it and turn the flour.
  • just mix water and cover it for 10 mins with a lid.
  • after 10 mins, knead to a soft dough.
  • with help of a idiyappam presser ,press it and steam 10mins.
  • serve with coconut milk.
