1 Whole Chicken Masala Nirachathu Whole chicken stuffed with spices & eggs 1 kg Whole chicken (skinned)8 nos Onions5 nos Green chilliesGinger (garlic paste - 3 tsp)3 nos Tomato1 tsp Chilly powder½ tsp Turmeric powder½ tsp Garam masala powder3 nos Eggs2 sprigs Curry leaves2 sprigs Coriander leavesSalt (As reqd)Oil (As reqd) Boil and de-shell the eggs and cut them into halves. Heat oil in a pan.Saute the onions until browned. Add the green chillies and the ginger-garlic paste and fry well. Add turmeric, garam masala and chilly powder. Fry well and add the tomatoes. Saute, until the oil runs clear. Mix a quarter of the masala with the boiled egg-halves. Stuff the chicken with this, tie a string around the chicken and place the chicken in a pressure cooker.Cook upto 1 whistle.Remove the whole chicken immediately and fry it in a large kadai. Add the whole remaining masala into the kadai and coat the chicken well. Garnish with curry leaves and coriander leaves. :- Serve with naan, parathas or rice. Kerala
