Adhirasam is a traditional sweet dish which will be done for most of the festivals. Making this delicous sweet at home is simple but we need little patience to fry these one by one carefully. A Very delicious sweet made with rice flour and jaggery. For most of the auspicious occasions and festivals, this is one of the important sweet prepared. The pastry is similar to a doughnut with the shape of a vadai. But unlike the savory vadai, these are sweet; they make excellent desserts. Many people use this dessert as offerings for the gods during puja prayers, both at home and in Tamil Nadu temples. You can try at home and enjoy with your family and friends.

  • In a vessel add Rice flour and cardamom powder
  • In a pan add 1/4 cup water, jaggery syrup and make a thick syrup. check with one drop of syrup, touch and see whether it roll like ball or not
  • In a rice flour, add jaggery syrup slowly and mix well .
  • Make soft ball and rest for 30 minutes for minimum
  • Divide equal portion and keep aside
  • In a plastic sheet, apply oil. take that ball and flat it. make small hole in center
  • Sprinkle some sesame seed
  • Heat oil and drop one fry in a medium flame
  • Now its ready to serve Adhirasam
