- Red gram(Thuvaraparippu) - 2 cups
- Spinach(Paalak) - 1 pack
- Green chillies(slit lengthwise) - 4 nos
- Garlic pods - 2 -
- Tomato(chopped) - 1 no
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Oil -

Instructions
- Pressure cook red gram, spinach, green chillies, garlic and tomato, till the dal is cooked.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add mustard seeds and allow them to splutter.
- Add the cooked ingredients and stir for a little while.
