Ingredients
For preparing Masala:
- Onion pieces - 1/2 dsp
- Dry red chillies - 2 nos
- Cinnamon(Small piece) -
- Coriander powder - 1/2 dsp
- Turmeric powder(A pinch) -
- Cloves(Grambu) - 1 no
- Cardamom(Elakka) - 1 no
- Cummin seeds(Jeerakam) - 1/4 tsp

Instructions
- Grind together the ingredients for preparing brinjal masala: onion pieces, red chillies, cinnamon, coriander powder, turmeric powder, cloves, cardamom and cummin seeds to a fine paste.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Fry the brinjal pieces until golden.
- Add the onions and fry.
- Add the ground masala and fry till oil accumulates on top.
- When the gravy has acquired the desired consistency, remove from fire.
- Brinjal piralen is ready and garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot.
