Butter Gobi-Cauliflower

  • 1 no Cauliflower big
  • 1 no Onion chopped, medium
  • Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
  • 1/2 cup Allpurpose flour Maida
  • 2 tbsp Corn flour
  • 2 tsp Chilly powder
  • Salt as reqd
  • 2 nos Green chillies chopped
  • 10 - Cashew nuts
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Tomato puree
  • Oil for deep frying
  • 1 tsp Butter


  • 1) Mix the all purpose flour, corn flour, 1 tbsp of ginger-garlic paste, 1 tbsp of chilly powder and salt and make it into a paste.
  • Soak cashew nuts in milk for about 30 mins and grind it into a fine paste. Save the Milk.
  • Add the cut cauliflower into the paste and mix thoroughly. Keep this aside for about 45 minutes.
  • Deep fry the cauliflower in a skillet.
  • Heat a skillet and add 1 tbsp of butter.
  • Saute onions, rest of ginger-garlic paste and green chillies.
  • When it turns light brown, add tomato puree followed by fried cauliflower.
  • Add the ground cashew nuts and milk. Mix all together.
  • Add salt and cook until the gravy thickens.
  • Add the rest of butter and remove from fire.
  • :- Serve with Fried rice or Chappathi.
