  • 5 tbsp Cheese grated
  • 7 tbsp Corn flour
  • 1 tsp Mustard powder
  • 1 tsp Chilly powder/Pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp Soda powder
  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • Bread slices As reqd
  • Salt As reqd
  • Oil For deep frying


  • Mix together corn flour, grated cheese, mustard powder, chilly powder, soda powder and required salt.
  • Pour milk into the cheese mixture and make a thick batter. Do not make the batter watery.
  • Keep this batter in a closed vessel for 30 minutes.
  • Apply the thick batter only on one side of the bread slice. Repeat the same with remaining bread slices.
  • Take a pan and pour sufficient oil for frying. Heat the oil and dip the bread slice with batter, facing the bottom.
  • Deep fry in medium heat and fry the other side too. Place the fried cheese roast on absorbent paper to drain oil.
  • Cheese roast, an apt evening time snack is ready.
