Easy Cabbage Thoran Spicy thoran with cabbage 1 cup Cabbage (finely chopped)5 nos Small onions (Kunjulli)3 nos Garlic pods1 tsp Ginger (chopped)2 nos Green chillies1/2 tsp Cumin seeds (Jeerakam)1/4 cup Grated coconutSalt (As reqd)1/4 tsp Turmeric powder1 tsp Mustard seeds1 tsp Black gram (Uzhunnuparippu)1 tbsp Curry leaves (chopped)2 nos Dry red chillies (broken, Kollamulaku)1 tbsp Coconut oil Heat oil in a frying pan.Splutter mustard seeds.Add black gram and allow it to become brown.Add dry red chillies and curry leaves.Add cabbage and mix well. Cover and cook for 5 mins on a low flame.Crush together coconut, small onions, ginger, green chillies, garlic, turmeric powder, cumin seeds and salt.Add the above mix into the cooked cabbage and mix well.Cook for another 5 mins on a very low flame.:- Serve as a side dish with rice.:- Don`t use water while preparing. :- Prepare on a low flame in a non stick pan.
