A very simple tasty easy to make dal dish with mango and bhindi

Ingredients
- Red gram(Thuvaraparippu) - 1 cup
- Raw mango(optional) - 5 -
- Oil - 1 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Green gram(A little, Cheruparippu) -
- Black gram(A little, Uzhunnuparippu) -
- Dry red chillies(Kollamulaku) - 2 -
- Cumin seeds(A little, Jeerakam) -
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Turmeric powder(A pinch) -
- Chilli powder(As reqd) -
- Dal masala(optional) -
- Lady`s finger(Bhindi/Vendakka) (optional) -
- Lemon juice (optional) -

Instructions
- Take 1 cup of red gram in a pressure cooker.
- Wash it twice with water.
- Add little salt and turmeric powder.
- Add mango pieces and pressure cook upto 3 whistles.
- Heat 1 tsp of oil in a pan.
- Splutter mustard seeds.
- Add cumin seeds, green gram, black gram and red chillies.
- Add bhindis, if desired at this stage.
- :- Do not pour any water.
- Add salt, chilli powder and dal masala(if available).
- Cover and cook for 10 mins.
- Once the pressure has gone, open the cooker.
- Add the dal to the pan.
- Mix all contents well.
- Check taste once to see if salt/spice is okay.
- Cover and leave it to boil.
- :- Serve with hot rice and papad.
- :- You can even squeeze a little lemon juice.
