Egg Dosa

Egg Dosa is one of the tastiest snack that can be prepared easily when time is short. Protein rich Egg Dosa makes a great breakfast especially for kids. Egg Dosa goes well with chutneys and makes a good filling too. Egg Dosas survive for longer period in lunch boxes. Today we will learn how to prepare Egg Dosa from the well illustrated recipe. Beaten eggs are mixed with the fermented dosa batter. Thin dosas are spread on a tawa from the egg dosa batter. Onion and green chilly mix are spread on the Egg Dosa. Dosa is made cripsy on both sides by sprinkling little oil. Hot crispy Egg Dosa is served with chutney. Enjoy Egg Dosa with family.

For dosa:-


  • For Dosa Batter:- 1)Soak rice, whole black gram and fenugreek for 6 hours.
  • Grind it and make a smooth batter.
  • Add salt and keep it for overnight to ferment.
  • Method 1: 1)Beat the eggs and mix well with the fermented dosa batter.
  • Mix together onions, green chillies, salt and coriander powder in another bowl.
  • Heat a non-stick pan and pour a spoon full of the batter.
  • Spread it thin.
  • Spread little onion mix over the dosa and sprinkle 1/4 tsp of oil on it.
  • Gently press the onion mix so that it will stick to the dosa batter.
  • Turn it after sometime.
  • Method 2: 1)Beat the eggs with onions, green chillies, salt and coriander leaves. Keep it aside.
  • Heat the pan and and pour a spoon full of dosa batter.
  • Spread it thin.
  • Pour 3 - 4 tbsp of the egg mix on the dosa and spread it in the dosa`s shape.
  • Pour a few drops of oil around the dosa.
  • Turn it when the other side gets cooked.
  • :- Serve with coconut chutney.
