Mughalai Veg Fried Bread Biriyani

This is a simple and easy recipe. Normally,mughalai recipe is majorly prepared using fresh curd. The fried bread add a nice taste and texture to it and it taste amazing.

  • 1 1/2 cup Zeeraga sambha / basmathi rice
  • 1 1/2 cup Mixed Vegetable carrot, beans, potato
  • 4 slices Fried Bread
  • 1/4 cup Boiled peas
  • 2 chopped Onion
  • 1 cup Curd
  • 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 5 Green chili
  • 6 Cashew
  • 1/2 cup Mint and coriander
  • Salt as per taste
  • whole spice each 1, cardamom, cinnamom, cloves, bay leaf, funnel seed
  • 2 tbsp Oil and ghee


  • Chop all vegetable and keep aside
  • In heavy bottom pan add oil and ghee and temper whole spices
  • Now add onion and green chili and saute well
  • Now add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes
  • Now add cashew and saute
  • Now add vegetable and mix well and add salt. saute well
  • Now add boiled peas, Mint and coriander
  • Now add curd and cook for 5 minutes
  • Now add water 1 1/2 cup ( because we add 1 cup curd + 1 1/2 cup water) so the ratio 1 1/2 : 2 cup. when water boils add rice and mix well
  • Now cook for 10 minutes in a low flame and add fired bread. close lid for 5 minutes at last
  • Now its ready to serve with raita
