For the paste:


  • Cook the meat with water, salt, turmeric powder and finely chopped ginger.
  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Saute the onions until it turns pale pink.
  • Add the green chillies, ginger and garlic and continue to saute.
  • Mix together all the powders with a little water and make it into a smooth paste.
  • Add this masala paste along with tomato pieces and saute, until the oil starts to separate.
  • Add the gravy of the cooked meat alone and heat until it starts to thicken.
  • Add the cooked meat and mix well.
  • Continue to heat until it turns dry. Remove from fire.

    well, mine came out looking nothing like the picture but it was very, very good. I liked it a lot. My hubby who is a very picky eater loved it as well. I did not use the fennel seeds. Keep posting such great recipes. Thank you!

    you have mentioned spices 1 tsp in the index ,but not mentioned in the recipe

    I tried it. It was good.
    But i need the propotion of fennel seeds, cloves and cinnamon in the spices powder.
