- Mutton Head/thala(chopped) - 1 no
- Chopped onion - 1 cup
- Chopped Green Chilli - 1 no
- Ginger garlic paste - 4 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
- Curry masala - 4 tsp
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Oil(As reqd) -
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves(Few) -
For coconut paste:
- Coconut - 1 cup
- Poppy seeds - 1 tsp
- Fried gram dal - 1 tsp

Instructions
- Grind the shallots and tomato to make a fine paste
- In another pan, heat the oil and temper mustard seeds and curry leaves.
- Add chopped onion and saute it.
- Add salt, turmeric, red chilli powder, curry masala and mix well
- Add mutton head / thala and mix well until the masala blends well with the mutton head. Cook for 5 mins.
- Now add enough water for gravy and mix it. Close the pan with lid and allow to boil until the head gets boiled.
- Meanwhile grind the coconut, fried gram and poppy seeds and make a fine paste.
- Add the coconut paste to the gravy, mix well and close the pan with lid and allow to boil for 10 mins.
- Now mutton head/thala gravy is ready to serve, serve with hot rice.
