Ingredients
- Potato(diced) - 1/2 kg
- Onion(sliced) - 3 nos
- Ginger(julienned) - 1 tsp
- Green chillies(slitted) - 4 nos
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala - 1 tsp
- Coconut milk(Ist extract(thick) - 1/2 cup, Ist extract) -
- Coconut milk(IInd extract(thin) - 1 cup, IInd extract) -
- Salt(As rqrd) -
- Oil - 3 tbsp
- Mustard - 1/2 tsp

Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Pplutter mustard seeds, add onion, ginger and green chillies and saute(by adding salt) till onion becomes transparent.
- Add turmeric powder and diced potatoes, saute for 2 minutes.
- Cover it with a lid and cook till potatoes are done and the dish reaches a thick consistency.
- Add Ist extract of coconut milk and pepper powder.
- Mix it well and remove from fire.
- Sprinkle garam masala over the dish and serve hot with chappathi, appam,ididappam or parotta.

cardommom can do wonders if added..try it..!!
Dear B.S.M.,Garam Masala, one of the ingredients I used in this recipe, contains lot of cardamom. So no need to add extra cardamoms.
