Oats Roti | Oats Chappathi

A

Oats Roti is a delightful and nourishing Indian bread that serves well for breakfast as well as dinner. Just two key ingredients – ‘oats’ and ‘atta’ is required for this easy to prepare dish. You need to grind oats to a fine powder. Oats is a rich source of soluble fibre termed ‘beta glucan’. Oats is widely known as a cholesterol lowering agent. Secondly the flour used for preparing Oats Chappathi is atta which is rich in fibre and not refined flour. Refined flour or maida does harm to your body in the long run. For those aiming weight loss and a healthy balanced lifestyle, Oats Roti is perfect with any gravy dish you prefer. Even for heart patients and for those restricted on diet, Oats Roti serves well. They will sure enjoy the texture especially those who have got bored with the usual atta flour chappathis. This is a delightful variation that you will enjoy.

Oats Roti should be served hot and fresh and it should be carefully cooked so it doesn’t get too much browned and blackened. As an option which I have not done in this recipe, you can also add some grated vegetables of your choice to the dough and roll out as rotis. I am sure you will enjoy these vegan rotis and I want you to try out Oats Chappathi. And don’t forget to send me feedback that will definitely motivate me to post more vegan dishes. I got the innovative recipe from my foodie friend who always keep experimenting on new dishes. I thank her for the recipe. We are living in an age of carelessness and more and more people are falling prey to various diseases. So, adopt a healthy lifestyle. You can explore a well detailed Oats Roti recipe here.
