Orotty A dish made with rice flour 2 cups Rice flour1/2 cup Coconut (grated)1/2 cup Cooked rice1 no Onion (finely chopped, big)2-3 nos Green chillies (finely chopped)1 tsp Ginger (grated)1 spring Curry leaves2-3 springs Coriander leaves (finely chopped)1 no Tomato (chopped)2 pinches Garam masalaSalt (As reqd)1 tsp Vegetable oilGhee/vegetable oil(optional) for sprinkling over orotty For preparing orotty, grind cooked rice into a fine paste. Keep this aside.Saute tomato adding a little oil and blend well.Add onion, green chillies, ginger and curry leaves. Saute slightly.Mix all the ingredients except ghee and make a dough like that of chapathi.(you can add water if needed)Make small balls out of this dough. Flatten each ball into small circles and place over tawa and cook.(Sprinkle ghee/vegetable oil if needed).Orotty is ready. Serve hot. Kerala
