Ingredients

Rice flour

cup
Coconut
grated
1/2
cup
Cooked rice
1
no
Onion
finely chopped, big
2-3
nos
Green chillies
finely chopped
1
tsp
Ginger
grated
1
spring
Curry leaves
2-3
springs
Coriander leaves
finely chopped
1
no
Tomato
chopped
2
pinches
Garam masala
Salt
As reqd
1
tsp
Vegetable
oil
Ghee
/vegetable
oil
(optional) for sprinkling over orotty
Instructions
For preparing orotty, grind cooked rice into a fine paste. Keep this aside.
Saute
tomato
adding a little
oil
and blend well.
Add
onion
,
green chillies
,
ginger
and
curry leaves
. Saute slightly.
Mix all the ingredients except
ghee
and make a dough like that of chapathi.(you can add
water
if needed)
Make small balls out of this dough. Flatten each ball into small circles and place over tawa and cook.(Sprinkle
ghee
/vegetable
oil
if needed).
Orotty is ready. Serve hot.
