Pad Thai Recipe

Pad thai is preparing by mixing cooked rice stick noodles with scrambled eggs, shrimps and other ingredients

  • 2 handfuls Rice stick noodle
  • 2 nos Eggs lightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 cup Shrimp fresh
  • 2 tbsp Shallots sliced, Kunjulli
  • 1 tbsp Radish salted
  • 1/2 cup Firm tofu diced
  • 2 cups Bean sprouts
  • 1/2 cup Chives cut into one inch long pieces
  • 2 tbsp Peanuts chopped, roasted
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Pad Thai sauce
  • 4 tbsp Water
  • Oil For frying


  • For preparing pad thai recipe, first chop finely the cleaned and drained radish.
  • Add some sugar and mix well to sweeten chopped radish.
  • Soak rice stick noodles in 4 tbsp warm water for 15 minutes.
  • Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan. Add beaten eggs and scramble it quickly into small pieces. Remove scrambled eggs from pan and keep aside.
  • Heat 2 tbsp of oil in the same pan. Stir in shrimps and cook in low heat until done. Transfer the cooked shrimp to a vessel and keep aside.
  • In the remaining oil, saute shallots, radish, tofu and fry until aromatic.
  • Stir in soaked noodles followed with water. Stir fry for 5 minutes in medium heat until the noodles tend to become soft.
  • Add 1/2 cup pad thai sauce and mix gently.
  • Stir in scrambled eggs, cooked shrimps, chives and bean sprouts.
  • .Stir well for another 3 minutes until everything blends well.
  • Remove pad thai from fire and transfer the contents to a serving plate. Garnish with roasted peanuts, fresh lime slices and some bean sprouts.
