  • For preparing a Payasam dessert, first boil the milk.
  • When it boils, add sugar and boil again.
  • Add the washed rice and mix well.
  • Lower the flame and allow the rice to cook.
  • When the rice is cooked and the payasam starts to thicken, add cardamom powder and mix well.
  • Remove Payasam from flame.
