Spicy Potato Curry is a yummy dish that goes well with chappati and porotta.

Ingredients
- Potato - 1 kg
- Onion(medium) - 3 nos
- Tomato - 3 nos
- Ginger(garlic paste - 2 tsp) -
- Poppy seeds(Khashakhasha) - 1 tbsp
- Cinnamon(Karugapatta) - 2" pieces
- Cloves(Grambu) - 5 nos
- Fennel seeds(Perinjeerakam) - 1 tsp
- Grated Coconut - 1/2 of
- Chilly powder - 11/2 tbsp
- Coriander powder - 2 tbsp
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Oil -
- Coriander leaves(A bunch) -

Instructions
- Cut potatoes into cubes and set for boiling with a pinch of salt and turmeric powder.
- Heat very little oil in a pan or a kadai.
- Fry poppy seeds, cinnamon, cloves and fennel seeds. Keep it aside.
- Fry onions till golden brown.
- Add 3/4 of the bunch of coriander leaves, tomato, chilly powder and coriander powder.
- Grind all the fried items together along with coconut to a fine paste.
- :- Do not fry coconut.
- Mix this masala with the boiled potatoes and set to boil, until the potatoes and the masala is cooked well.
- Season with finely chopped onion, mustard, curry leaves and coriander leaves.
