Pure Vegetarian Navratan Kathal

Ingredients
  

  • Kathal (jackfruit) cut into small cubes : 250 gm
  • Finely chopped tomatoes : 2 nos
  • Green chilies : 3 nos
  • Red chili powder : 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder : 1 tsp
  • Garam masala : 1 tsp
  • Jeera powder : 1 tsp
  • Dry mango powder : 1 tsp
  • Salt : as reqd
  • Oil : as reqd

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pan for frying.
  • Sprinkle salt on the kathal cubes and fry them till brown.
  • Take little amount of oil in a non-stick pan and add green chilies.
  • Cook for about a minute and add the fried kathal.
  • Add salt, turmeric powder and let it cook for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add tomatoes, red chilli powder, jeera powder, garam masala and mix well.
  • Let it cook by covering the pan with a lid.
  • When all the masalas get blended neatly in the kathal, remove the lid and add dry mango powder.
  • Mix well and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
