For stuffing:

  • chop the mushroom and wash with the hot water
  • in a pan heat the oil and add onion and green chilli and saute it until the onion turn into brown
  • add ginger garlic paste and mix well until the raw smell goes out
  • add pepper, salt and turmeric powder and mix it
  • add chopped mushroom and mix well and allow to boil for 5 mins. dont add water as the mushroom itself leave the water for boiling
  • add grated coconut and mix it
  • add boiled aloo and mix well
  • mushroom stuffing is ready
  • clean the ooty milagai and cut into two pieces
  • stuff the mushroom mix in the ooty milagai
  • in a bowl add roasted gram flour, salt, red chili powder, cumin seed, corn flour, maida and asofoetida
  • add turmeric and rice flour and add some water to make as a batter
  • make as a fine batter
  • dip the stuffed milagai in the batter
  • heat the oil and fry the stuff mushroom milagai
  • stuffed mushroom milagai bajji is ready
