Sweet Potato Micro Kheer

  • 1 litre Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder Elakka
  • 250 gm Sweet potatoes peeled and thinly grated, Madhurakizhangu
  • 5 nos Almonds Badam
  • 5 nos Pistachios Pista
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/8 tsp Saffron


  • In a small casserole, add almonds, pista and 1/2 cup of water.
  • Micro Hi for a minute.
  • Peel off the skin and slice thinly.
  • In a medium casserole, Micro Hi milk for 10 mins.
  • Add sweet potatoes and mix thoroughly.
  • Micro Med for 10 mins and Med Low for 5 mins, stirring in between.
  • Add sugar and mix well.
  • Micro Low for 10 mins.
  • Add cardamom powder and saffron.
  • Cool and decorate with almond and pista slices.
  • :- Serve chilled.
