  • 2 lemon Tamarind
  • 1/2 inch Ginger
  • 1 bottle Soda chilled
  • Salt As reqd
  • Sugar As reqd
  • 1 no Cinnamon stick
  • Cochineal coloring Few drops


  • For preparing tamarind cooler, firstly grind tamarind, ginger & cinnamon to a paste. Put it in a big bowl along with salt & sugar.
  • Then pour 3 cups boiling water on the top.
  • Cover & set aside to cool. Strain through a fine muslin cloth.
  • Add soda & enough colour to give it a lovely pink colour.
  • Serve chilled with crushed ice.
