Ingredients
- Rice - 1 cup
- Lemon or lemon juice - 1 tsp
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Sugar - 1 tsp
- Onion(optional)(chopped) - 1/2 cup
- Green chillies - 2 nos
- Butter - 1 tbsp
- For seasoning: -
- Oil - 3 tbsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Black gram(Uzhunnuparippu) - 1 tsp
- Peanuts(Nelakadala) - 2 tsp
- Currry leaves(A few) -
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- For garnishing: -
- Chopped coriander leaves -
- Fresh grated coconut - 4 tbsp

Instructions
- Cook rice and allow it to cool completely. Separate the grains by mixing 1/2 tsp of ghee.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add the ingredients for seasoning followed by chopped onions and fry till golden brown.
- Add slit green chillies and fry for another minute.
- Add rice to it.
- Add prepared lemon juice and butter and mix well.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and freshly grated coconut.
