Semolina/rava is roasted in ghee to make a smooth kanji with coconut milk

  • For preparing thari kanji, heat 1 tbsp ghee and add rava to it and stir it on low heat for some time.
  • Add 2 1/2 cups of coconut milk to it and cook it well.
  • When the rava is cooked well, then add the remaining coconut milk and boil it well.
  • Fry small onions in 1 tbsp of ghee and put it in the cooked kanji.
  • Do not make the kanji too thick. It should be made like a smoothy drink .
  • Thari kanji is ready. Serve for fasting people so that they can gain the energy back.
