Ingredients
- Semolina(Rava/Sooji) - 1 cup
- Onion - 1/2 no
- Potato - 1/4 no
- Ginger(grated) - 1/2 tsp
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Sugar - 1 tsp
- Chopped coriander leaves -
- Grated fresh coconut - 3 tbsp
- Ghee - 2 tsp
- For seasoning: -
- Oil - 3 tbsp
- Peanuts(Nelakadala) - 2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder -
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Black gram(Uzhunuparippu) - 1 tsp
- Red dry chilly(Kollamulaku) - 2 nos
- Curry leaves(A few) -
- Asafoetida(A pinch, Kayam) -

Instructions
- Roast rava on a low flame. Keep aside and allow it to cool.
- Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan.
- Add all the seasoning ingredients
- Add onion and fry till it becomes translucent.
- Add potato and fry for a few minutes.
- Add 1 1/2 cups of water and cover the lid.
- Bring it to boil and let the potatoes cook nicely.
- Add roasted rava little by little. Keep stirring while adding, so that there will not be any lumps.
- Close the lid and cook for few minutes.
- :- Serve hot.

Very very good. Thanks for the excelent recipe.
Turned out to be an amazing uppuma. Next time, will add a few other veggies along with potatoes for color and nutrition.
