Ingredients
For cooking fish:
- Fish(bones removed and sliced into small pieces) - 200 g
- Ginger(one inch piece, chopped into thin long strips) -
- Onion(chopped into cubes) - 1 no
- Green chillies(chopped round) - 2 nos
- garlic(cut in halves) - 5 nos
- Tomato(finely chopped) - 1 no
For preparing sauce:
- All purpose flour(Maida) - 2 tbsp
- Butter - 3 tbsp
- Milk - 1 cup
- Mustard powder - 1/4 tsp
- Pepper powder - 3/4 tsp
- Nutmeg powder(Jathikka) - 1/4 tsp
- Celery(chopped) - 2 tbsp
- Capsicum(chopped) - 1/4 cup
- Cheese(grated) - 1/4 cup
- garlic(crushed) - 2 nos
- Onion(finely chopped) 1/4 cup -
- Egg - 1 no

Instructions
- Remove the cooked fish pieces from the gravy and keep aside.
- For preparing sauce, heat 1 tbsp butter in a pan and saute crushed garlic.
- Take another pan and heat 1 tbsp of butter and fry maida in low heat.
- Remove maida from fire before color change and add milk stirring slowly.
- Add fish gravy and stir slowly to mix.
- Add egg yolk, mustard powder, nutmeg powder, pepper powder and grated cheese, stirring slowly.(Keep some grated cheese aside for subsequent use)
- Heat the cheese mixture in medium heat for a few seconds and remove from fire.
- Beat the egg white and fold into the cheese mixture.
- Take a baking dish and pour some cheese sauce in the base. Arrange the previously prepared cooked fish pieces. Pour the remaining cheese sauce on top of fish pieces.
- Stir in some grated cheese on top of fish pie.
- In a preheated oven, bake the fish mixture for 15 minutes until the top turns golden in color.
- Yummy fish fry, a highly nutritious recipe is ready and serve hot.
