Instructions For preparing banana halwa with coconut, first fry the shredded coconut in 1 tbsp of ghee to a golden brown color. Keep this aside. Boil the sugar with some water and remove the scum that forms on top. Remove pan from fire and strain the sugar syrup. Convert the sugar syrup into a thick bottomed pan. When the syrup is cool, add the milk, mashed bananas, and remaining ghee. Cook the mixture in medium heat, stirring all the time. When the banana halwa leaves the sides of the pan, stir in fried coconut. Cook in low heat until the halwa gets a golden color. and ghee starts to come out. Transfer the banana halwa with coconut into a greased dish and serve when cool.
