  • 150 ml Milk
  • 1 tbsp Chocolate
  • Sugar As reqd
  • Vanilla essence A few drops
  • 1 no Egg beaten
  • Butter As reqd


  • For preparing chocolate custard, heat chocolate with milk and sugar until the chocolate has melted and the milk is just below boiling point.
  • Add the milk to the beaten egg gradually, stirring continuously.
  • Add essence and strain into a small buttered fire proof dish.
  • Keep it in a dish of cold water and cook on slow oven(300 F degrees until the custard sets).
  • Chocolate custard is ready.
