Ingredients
- Dal (equal quantites of toovar dal, masoor dal and yellow moon dal) : 1 cup -
- Mustard seeds : ½ tsp -
- Whole jeera : ½ tsp -
- Cinnamon : 1 small pc -
- Cloves : 2 nos -
- Tomatoes finely chopped : 2 medium size -
- Onions finely chopped : 2 medium size -
- Green chilies finely chopped : 2 - 3 nos
- Doodhi cubed : 1 cup -
- Turmeric powder : ½ tsp -
- Coriander(Cumin powder : ½ tsp) -
- Red chilli powder : 1 tsp -
- Garam masala powder : ½ tsp -
- Salt to taste -

Instructions
- Soak the dal in hot water for 15- 20 minutes and boil in a pressure cooker and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and add the rye, jeera, cloves, cinnamon stick and curry patta.3) Add finely chopped onions and green chillies and fry till golden brown.
- You can add a little water if the masala sticks to the bottom of the pan.6) When the masala is cooked add the cubed doodhi / white pumpkin.
- Cover the pan and cook for 15 minutes till the doodhi is cooked.8) Add the boiled dal and cook for another 5 minutes till the dal is well blended.
- Garnish with chopped coriander and a squeeze of lemon juice.
