  • Mango (raw and sour) : 1 no
  • Grated Coconut : 1 cup
  • Jeera : 1 tsp
  • Mustard : 2 tsp
  • Shallots :6 nos
  • Curry leaves : few
  • Red Chilli : 2 nos
  • Oil : few
  • Water : as reqd
  • Salt : to taste
  • Fenugreek Powder : 1 tsp


  • Chop mango into small pieces.
  • Grind grated coconut, jeera and 3 shallots into a fine paste.
  • Roughly crush the mustard seeds. Add it to the coconut paste.
  • Mash the mango pieces and add this also to the coconut paste.
  • Heat oil, splutter the mustard seeds and then add the remaining shallots.
  • Add curry leaves and dried red chilli to this.
  • Stir once and add the mango mix and salt to it.
  • Mix well, add some water. Wait till the mixture is hot.
  • Now add fenugreek powder.Mix well and remove it from fire.
  • Mango pachadi is ready.
