Ladies Finger-Okra Soup

A simple and nutritious okra soup which can be prepared in a few minutes

  • 75 g Ladies finger chopped, Okra
  • 1/4 of Coconut grated
  • 100 g Jaggery Sarkara
  • 1/2 tsp Cummin seeds powdered, Jeerakam


  • Boil jaggery with a little water and when it becomes liquid, remove from flame. Keep this aside.
  • Chop the ladies finger and add 4 glasses of water. Boil and cook for 20 minutes.
  • Seive the mixture and gather the stock.
  • Into the stock, pour melted jaggery, coconut milk and powdered cummin.
  • Seive the whole mixture again and serve.
  • Ladies finger/okra soup is ready and serve hot.
