Lime Ginger Squash

Lime juice mixed with crushed ginger to create a refreshing drink.

  • 25 nos Lemon
  • 150 g Ginger crushed
  • 1.5 kg Sugar
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1/2 tsp Lime essence
  • 1/2 tsp Preservative optional


  • Clean the lemon nicely and squeeze the juice. Keep this aside.
  • Take 3 cups water and add the crushed ginger to it. Boil for 5 minutes.
  • Add sugar and boil again until the sugar melts completely.
  • When the sugar syrup has become a bit sticky, turn off the burner. Cool the sugar syrup.
  • Now add the lemon juice and stir uniformly. Add lime essence.
  • Strain the lime ginger squash into a clean vessel and pour into a dry bottle.
  • Tips:- 1)While adding the preservative, liquidize it in a little hot water before adding to the squash.
  • It is preferable not to add preservatives. By storing in a refrigerator, you can serve the purpose of lasting.
