Basmati rice

Onion
sliced

Cinnamon
Karugapatta

Cloves
Grambu
3
pods
Cardamon
1
litre
Water
1
tbsp
Ghee
1 1/2
tbsp
Coconut oil
1
no
Onion
finely sliced
Salt
As reqd
for garnishing:
Cashew nuts
Few
Raisins
Few, Onakka munthiri
Instructions
Wash basmati rice and drain well.
Take a pan and pour
ghee
. Splutter cinnamon,
cloves
and
cardamom
.
Add
onion
and fry crisp.
Add the drained basmati rice and fry for 5 minutes.
Add boiling
water
and required
salt
.
Cover with a lid and cook in low heat until done.
Stir gently and wait till the
water
has evaporated completely.
Take a pan and pour
coconut oil
. Fry the
onion
, cashew nuts and
raisins
. Scatter on top of malabar neichoru.
