  • In a vessel, mix milk and sugar and boil it for 10 mins.
  • Add cardamom powder and saffron. Let it boil on a slow flame.
  • Mix together milk powder, maida and baking powder well in a bowl.
  • Add one lightly beaten egg and ghee.
  • Knead it into a dough.
  • Make 20 - 22 small balls off it.
  • Put these balls into the boiling milk.
  • Cook for 10 - 12 mins.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Garnish it with finely chopped pistachios.
  • :- Serve it cool.

    Thank you for this wonderfull receipe.I used to do ras malai with ricota cheese but this is the best…!!! I used sweetened condensed milk instead of sugar and wow can`t resist really.After putting the balls in milk I had to switch it off after 7mim b`cos they looked too soft I thought they might break.Good job..please post receipe`s like this.

    This is the perfect measurment for rasmalai.i got the same one and it comes out perfect with this measurement.go for this recipe if u want to make one.trust me.Careful,not to use i heaped tablespoon of maida,instead use just a tablespoon.Check out the baking powder,if the date is expired,it might not puff up and also shrink later on causing the centre to be hard!
