Onam Special Broken Wheat Payasam | Onam Sadhya Sweet

  • Wash the broken wheat and sago seed three times. Pressure cook it by adding salt and water as required.
  • Melt Jaggery by adding half cup water and pour it trough a sieve into the cooked broken wheat and sago. Mix well.
  • Pour the milk and add cardamom powder. Mix well and make sure that there are no lumps.
  • Bring it to boil. Add more hot water only if required to maintain the correct consistency. When it starts to boil, remove it from the flame.
  • Finally, heat ghee in a pan and fry coconut pieces till golden brown in colour, Then add cashew nuts and raisins.Turn off the flame.
  • Pour it over the payasam.
  • Tasty and delicious Onam Special Broken Wheat Payasam is ready now.
