Special Chicken Curry Chicken With Apple

  • 1/2 kg Chicken chopped
  • 1 no Onion chopped
  • 5 cloves Garlic chopped
  • 2 nos Tomatoes de-seeded, remove the skin and chop it
  • 2 tsp Madras curry powder heaped
  • Cayenne pepper A pinch
  • 1 spring Thyme chopped
  • 1 cup Yoghurt
  • 1/4 litre Chicken stock
  • 1 no Apple
  • Pepper powder As reqd
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Salt As reqd


  • For preparing special chicken curry, fry chicken pieces in oil until golden brown.
  • Heat the stock in a vessel.
  • In another vessel heat oil, add in the fried chicken, onion and garlic. Fry well.
  • Add in pepper powder, cayenne pepper and madras curry powder. Mix well.
  • Then add in the stock, tomatoes, salt, thyme and yoghurt. Stir, cover and cook it for 20 minutes on medium flame.
  • Peel, quarter and slice the apple.
  • Add the apple to the chicken and cook it for another 30 minutes on low flame.
  • Special chicken curry is ready. Serve hot with rice and chutney.
