Tasty Fruit Cake
Cake with different dry fruits

All purpose flour
sifted, Maida
90
g
Raisins
Unakka munthiri
50
g
Currants
50
g
Candied lemon and
orange
peel
finely chopped
125
g
Softened butter
100
g
Sugar
3
nos
Eggs
1
packet
Vanilla
sugar
5
g
Baking powder
5
tbsp
Milk
Instructions
For preparing tasty fruit cake, preheat the oven at 180 degrees celsius.
Grease a bread tin with butter and line it with grease proof paper.
In a bowl mix in
raisins
, currants, 1 tbsp of maida, candied lemon and
orange
peel.
Beat the butter and
sugar
well in another bowl.
Add in eggs and beat it again.
Then pour in the
milk
. Add in the remaining maida and
baking powder
. Mix well.
Toss in the fruits and mix well.
Pour the mixture in the baking tin and bake it for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Leave it out on a rack to cool, turn it over and cut it.
Tasty fruit cake is ready. Serve when it becomes room temperature.
