Ingredients
- Cabbage, Longrunner beans(finely chopped, Payar/Achinga) - 500 gm
- Coconut oil - 2 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Black gram(Uzhunnuparippu) - 1 tsp
- Dry red chillies(cut into 2 - 3 pieces, Kollamulaku) - 4 nos
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Green chillies(finely chopped) - 2 -
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Red chilly powder - 1/4 tsp
- Grated Coconut - 1 cup
- Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) - 1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves - 2 sprigs
- Garlic pods - 2 nos

Instructions
- Crush coconut, cumin seeds, curry leaves and garlic.
- Boil the vegetables in a pan along with salt and chillies.
- Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
- Splutter mustard seeds followed by black gram and dry red chillies.
- Add tumeric powder, chilly powder, boiled vegetables and crushed mixture.
- Mix well.
- :- Serve hot.

This recipe made lots of sense! All the others just had regular chinese skillet fry kind of recipe…did not feel like the ones aunties make over here in the US…I made this and it turned out like the true Kerala cabbage thoran. THANK YOU Anita Jacob!!
