Vazhapindi Thoran (Banana-tree-stem Sauteed)

Ingredients
- Banana tree stem(Vazhapindi) - 1 center
- Grated cocunut - 1/4 of
- Garlic pods - 6 nos
- Chilly powder - 1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves - 1 stem
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Coconut oil - 1/2 tsp

Instructions
- Peel off the outer layer of fiber from the banana-tree-stem and chop it into fine pieces.
- Wash and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a kadai or a pan
- Add mustard seeds and when they start to splutter, add curry leaves and stir.
- Cover it with a lid and allow it to cook.
- When done, put off the flame and sprinkle coconut oil over the dish and mix.
- Keep aside for a while with lid closed, before serving.
