Banana Muffins

Low fat and mouthwatering banana muffins

Dry ingredients:-

  • 3 cups Allpurpose flour Maida
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon ground, Karugapatta
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg(ground) Jathikka
  • 2 cups Sugar

Wet ingredients:-

  • 1 cup Veg oil
  • 2 nos Eggs large
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla extract
  • Fruits:
  • 5 nos Ripe bananas peeled and coarsely mashed
  • 1/2 cup Golden raisins Onakka munthiri


  • Line 18 muffin cups with paper liners.
  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
  • Sift the dry ingredients together.
  • Whisk the wet ingredients in a large bowl to blend.
  • Stir in the banana and raisins.
  • Add the dry ingredients and stir, until blended.
  • :- It is very importent not to over mix the batter.
  • Divide the batter among the prepared muffin cups.
  • Bake the muffins on the middle rack, until the tops are golden brown.
  • Insert a toothpick into the center and if it comes out clean, then the muffins are done(approx 25 mins.).
