  • Cut the plantain into small cubes and grate the coconut.
    Banana Puttu/Pazham Puttu –
  • Heat oil in a pan and saute until the bananas are turned into golden brown in colour.
    Banana Puttu/Pazham Puttu –
  • Add sugar,grated coconut and mix it well,cook it again for 3 minutes.
    Banana Puttu/Pazham Puttu –
  • Add salt and required water to the four and mixing for about 5 minute or till the flour dries to a slightly lumpsy consistency.
    Banana Puttu/Pazham Puttu –
  • Now layer this with grated coconut-banana mixture in a puttu kutti starting and ending with the layer of the mixture in addition to another layer in the middle.Steam for 4-5 minutes till the rice flour is nice and cooked well.
