Fruit Kheer With Custard

Very sweet and simple recipe

  • Whole Milk : 6 Cup
  • Soaked and drained basmati rice : ½ cup
  • Vanilla custard powder : 3 tsp
  • Red grapes halved : 10 nos
  • Bananas : 2 nos
  • Apple : 1 medium
  • Orange segments, peeled : 10 nos
  • Sweet lime segments, peeled : 6 nos
  • Butter : 1 tsp
  • Sugar : 8 tsp
  • Pomegranate pearls for garnish : few


  • Heat a pan add drained rice and 4 cups of milk and let it come to boil.
  • Enter Step
  • Take custard powder in a bowl add the remaining milk and whisk.
  • Add the custard powder mixture to the kheer once the rice is cooked. Stir well. Cook till thick.
  • Add the sugar and stir till all the sugar dissolved. (adjust sugar for your taste)
  • Heat butter in a pan add apple, bananas, grapes, orange segments, sweet lime segments and 1 tsp sugar and stir.

  • Cover and cook on low heat till the fruit soften.
  • Transfer the stewed fruit into a bowl pour the custard kheer over them.
  • Garnish with pomegranate pearls and serve.
