- Moong dal(soaked and boiled, cherupayar parippu) - 1/4 cup
- Cucumber(peeled and chopped) - 1 no
- Carrot(grated) - 1/2 cup
- Beetroot(grated) - 1/2 cup
- Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
- Asafoetida(A pinch, Kayam) -
- Coriander leaves(chopped) - 1 tbsp
- Coconut(grated) - 1 tbsp
- Yogurt - 1 cup
- Lemon juice - 1/2 tsp
- Ghee - 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves - 1 sprig
- Salt(As reqd) -

- Melt ghee in a pan and add mustard seeds and curry leaves.
