Ingredients
- Maize / Makka cholam 3 cup -
- Idly rice 1 cup -
- Urad dal 1 cup -
- onion 2 no. -
- coriander leaves 1/4 cup -
- curry leaves 10 no. -
- Salt to taste -
- oil 10 tsp -
- Mustard : 1/2 tsp -
- broken urad dal 1/4 tsp -
- bengal gram 1/4 tsp -

Instructions
- soak the maize / makka cholam and idly rice for four hours
- grind it by adding soaked urad dal and make as a batter and allow to get fermented
- finely chop the onion
- in a pan heat the oil and temper the mustard, broken urad dal and bengal gram
- add onion and saute it until it turn into brown
- transfer the onion into maize batter and add finely chopped curry leaves and coriander leaves
- mix well
- heat the oil in the paniyaram pan
- pour the batter and allow to cook in one side
- once it get cooked in one side then turn it and allow to cook other side
- now maize paniyaram is ready. serve with chutney
